Our readers trust us to publish recipes that work. These standards explain how we earn that trust.
Original content
Recipes and articles on MealRecipe are written by our team. When a dish is inspired by a particular tradition, cook or source, we say so. We do not copy recipes or text from other publishers.
Recipe development
Recipes are written for standard home equipment, list ingredients in the order they are used, and state prep and cook times separately. When we revise a recipe, we update the page and its date.
Accuracy and corrections
If a reader reports an error, we investigate promptly. Significant corrections are made on the page and the "updated" date is changed. You can report issues via our contact page.
Health and nutrition claims
We avoid exaggerated health claims. We don't describe foods as "curing" or "treating" conditions, and nutrition figures are clearly labelled as estimates.
Independence from advertisers
Advertisers and affiliate partners have no input into our recipes or editorial decisions. Sponsored content, if we ever publish it, will be clearly labelled as such.
